Directions:
PREHEAT oven to 425°F. Add 1/4 cup sugar to strawberries; toss to coat. Set aside.
PLACE baking mix, milk, 3 Tbsp. sugar and the butter in large bowl; stir until mixture forms soft dough. Spoon into 6 mounds, 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheet.
BAKE 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Split shortcakes; fill and top with the strawberries and whipped topping.
KITCHENS TIPS
For a more decadent dessert, add 6 squares chopped BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate to the shortcake dough before baking. Assemble desserts as directed, then drizzle with your favorite chocolate sauce just before serving.
